Mae’r deuddeg mis diwethaf wedi bod yn un rhyfedd iawn i bawb, ond fel clwb ‘rydym yn hapus i ddweud ein bod wedi addasu’n dda i’r profiadau rhithiol CFfI newydd. Drwy gydol y flwyddyn mae’r clwb wedi ymgymryd â sawl gweithgaredd rhithiol a dros amser ‘rydym wedi magu hyder i fod ychydig yn fwy anturus! Gan ddechrau gyda nosweithiau Bingo syml ac hwyliog, addurno ‘yule log’ ac wy Pasg i nosweithiau fel ‘Would I lie to you’, ‘Through the Keyhole’ a’r defnydd o ystafelloedd trafod ar gyfer noson sinema rhithiol. Barnwyd ein cystadleuaeth addurno yule log gan ein cadeirydd Tudor, gyda’n haelod mwyaf newydd, James yn hawlio’r safle cyntaf.

Fel cadeirydd, cymerodd Tudor y cam cyntaf i fyd cystadlaethau rhithiol ac hoffwn ei longyfarch ar ei llwyddiant wrth ennill cystadleuaeth beirniadu stoc cig eidion CFfI Cymru dan 27.  Arweiniodd hyn y ffordd i weddill yr aelodau a oedd yn ymgymryd â chystadlaethau rhithiol yr Eisteddfod gydag ystod o geisiadau a dderbyniwyd gan ein aelodau presennol fel y gân gyfoes gan Rhys, nifer o geisiadau addurno wyau Pasg a chacennau bach, ffotograffiaeth, a chofnodion Instagram. Diolch i waith yr holl aelodau, daeth y clwb mewn cyd-le parchus o 6ed.

Ym mis Ebrill daeth y cystadleuthau siarad cyhoeddus a chystadlaethau aelod o’r flwyddyn.  Llongyfarchiadau mawr i Elin am ddod yn aelod Iau CFfI Maldwyn a Chymru a dymunwn y gorau iddi ar gyfer rownd NFYFC ym mis Mehefin.

Mae pob aelod o CFfI Tregynon wedi cyflawni rhywbeth eleni, p’un ai wrth addasu i fywyd ysgol a choleg newydd, yn ymgymryd â swydd ran-amser, neu’n pasio eu prawf gyrru. Mae pob diwrnod yn ddiwrnod newydd i’n aelodau gyda dyfodol ein clwb yn edrych yn gryf.  Hoffem longyfarch aelodau’r gorffennol a’r presennol, Whitney Davies (Jerman), Sammy Lloyd (Evans) a Jamie Breese ar ôl i’w babanod newydd-anedig gyrraedd.

Mae ein holl aelodau wedi chwarae eu rhan yn ystod y cyfnod clo p’un ai wrth gwirfyddoli yn y gymuned leol neu’n gweithio ar eu ffermydd teuluol i helpu i fwydo’r genedl.  Gwirfoddolodd Eloisa a’n Llywydd, Anwen, i weithio yn y canolfannau gofal plant gan alluogi ein gweithwyr allweddol i wneud eu gwaith hanfodol a phlant a theuluoedd sy’n agored i niwed yn cael y cymorth yr oedd ei angen arnynt.

Cymerodd ein is-drysorydd, Rhian y cam nesaf yn ei gyrfa yn ystod y cyfynod clo.  Ar ôl gorffen cymhwyster BTEC mewn amaethyddiaeth, bu’n llwyddiannus yn cael ei phenodi am swydd lawn amser fel cynorthwyydd rhannau ac ôl-werthwyr yng nghwmni Teme Valley Tractors.

Gan fod codi arian wedi bod yn anodd yn ystod y pandemic, rydym yn falch o ddweud bod y gymuned leol wedi parhau i gefnogi’r clwb drwy brynu tocynnau ar gyfer Lotto Powys – lotto wythnosol sy’n codi arian at achosion da ar draws Powys.  Fel clwb, gwnaethom gais llwyddiannus i fod yn un o’r achosion, a hyd yma ‘rydym yn ddiolchgar ein bod wedi codi dros £100 i’r clwb.

The last 12 months have been strange for everyone, but as a club we are happy to say we have adapted well to the new virtual YFC experience. Throughout the year the club has undertaken several virtual activities and in each one gained confidence to be a little more adventurous! Starting with a simple, yet fun Bingo nights, decorating a yule log and Easter egg to evenings such as ‘Would I lie to you’, ‘Through the Keyhole’ and the use of break out rooms for a virtual cinema evening. Our yule log decorating competition was judged by chair Tudor with our newest member, James coming 1st place.

As chair, Tudor took the first step into the world of virtual competitions and we would like to congratulate him on his success in winning the Wales YFC under 27 beef stock judging competition. This led the way for the rest of the members undertaking the virtual Eisteddfod competitions with a range of entries received from all our current members, such as a contemporary song by Rhys, several easter egg and cupcake decorating entries, photography, and Instagram entries. Thanks to the work of all members, the club came in a respectful joint 6th place.

In April came the public speaking and member of the year competitions. A huge congratulations to Elin for becoming both County and Wales YFC Junior member of the year and we wish her all the best for the NFYFC round in June.

Every member within Tregynon YFC has achieved something this year, whether it has been adapting to new school and college life, undertaking a part time job, or passing their driving test. Every day is a new members day with the future of our club looking strong. We would like to congratulate past and current members, Whitney Davies (Jerman), Sammy Lloyd (Evans) and Jamie Breese on the arrival of their newborn babies.

All our members have done their bit during lockdown whether it has been volunteering in the local community or working on their family farms to help feed the nation. Eloisa and our President, Anwen both volunteered to work at the local school childcare hubs enabling key workers to carry out their essential work and vulnerable children and families having the support they needed.

Our vice treasurer, Rhian took the next step in her career during lockdown. Having finished a BTEC qualification in agriculture she was successfully in being appointed for a full-time position as a parts and aftersales assistant at Teme Valley Tractors.

As fundraising has been difficult during the pandemic, we are pleased to say that the local community continued to support the club through purchasing tickets for the Powys Lotto – a weekly lotto that raises money for good causes across Powys. As a club we successfully applied to be one of the causes and to date, we are grateful to have raised over £100 for the club.
