Mae wedi bod yn flwyddyn gyffrous a heriol i bawb sy’n ymwneud â CFfI. Roedd addasu i’r ffordd newydd o gwrdd â threfnu nosweithiau clwb yn rhith yn eithaf anodd I gychwyn ond fe wnaethom hyn er gwaethaf y cysylltiad rhyngrwyd gwael i rai aelodau.

Roedd swyddogion y clwb eleni yn cynnwys myfyriwr, ffermwr, cwpl o athrawon, gwraig bost a chynghorydd yswiriant:

    Cadeirydd: Cathryn Jenkins

    Is-Gadeirydd: Heledd Evans

    Ysgrifenyddes: Elin Evans

    Trysorydd: Mared Owen

    Swyddog y Wasg: Jasmine Evans

    Ysgrifennyddes Cofnodion: Gwennan Jones

Fel swyddogion clwb, cynhaliom nifer o nosweithiau rhithwir, o noson rithwir i aelodau newydd i gwpl o nosweithiau cwis a gêm. Trwy gydol y flwyddyn, rydym wedi cael rhai cyflawniadau gwych, er gwaethaf yr heriau:

    • Enillwyr Her Dalent Arwahanrwydd FfCCFfI 2020. Fe wnaethon ni fel clwb dynnu at ein gilydd i greu meim i gerddoriaeth yn darlunio bywyd dan glo. Aeth llawer o waith caled mewn i hyn ac roedd yn werth chweil gan ein bod wedi ennill enillwyr cystadleuaeth Genedlaethol ddechrau mis Mai.
    • Daeth un o’n haelodau mwyaf ymroddedig, Aled Rees, yn Is-gadeirydd y Sir ynghyd â gwirfoddoli yn ardal Trefeglwys yn casglu presgripsiynau a siopa i bobl bregys yn y gymuned.
    • Yn ystod yr ŵyl, fel clwb, fe wnaethon ni ymuno â’n clwb cyfagos CFfI Aberhafesp i greu meim Nadoligaidd i fideo cerddoriaeth. Gwnaeth ysgrifennydd ein clwb, Elin Evans, ymdrech fawr i gydlynu a rhoi’r fideo at ei gilydd.
    • Mae aelodau CFfI Trefeglwys wedi cystadlu yn y gwahanol gystadlaethau sirol gyda llawer o lwyddiannau unigol tra hefyd yn ymuno â digwyddiadau sirol. Ymgysylltodd ychydig o’n haelodau newydd â nosweithiau rhithwir y Fforwm Ieuenctid am y tro cyntaf.

Bu uchafbwyntiau ac isafbwyntiau dros y flwyddyn ddiwethaf. Mae dau gyn-aelod o CFfI Trefeglwys wedi clymu’r cwlwm â’u partneriaid lle roedd aelodau CFfI yn dal picls ac wedi gwneud bwa fel sy’n draddodiadol. Cynrychiolodd Cadeirydd y Clwb, Cathryn Jenkins, CFfI Trefeglwys trwy osod torch yn y gwasanaeth cofio. Yn fwy diweddar, yn anffodus bu farw un o’n haelodau bywyd y clwb, John Hughes a oedd yn golled enfawr i’r clwb a’r gymuned.

Er ei bod wedi bod yn flwyddyn heriol, wahanol, mae CFfI yn dal i dyfu a gwn fod holl aelodau CFfI Trefeglwys yn barod i gwrdd eto yn bersonol. Hoffem ddiolch i’r holl aelodau am eich amynedd trwy’r amser profi hwn a diolch enfawr i’r holl gynorthwywyr a rhieni, ni allem wneud hynny heboch chi! Dewch ymlaen y flwyddyn nesaf!

It has been an eventful & challenging year for all involved in YFC. Adapting to the virtual way of meeting and organising virtual club nights was quite difficult to start but we managed this despite the poor internet connection for some members.

The club officials this year included a student, a farmer, a couple of teachers, a postwoman and an insurance advisor:

    Chairperson: Cathryn Jenkins

    Vice Chairperson: Heledd Evans

    Secretary: Elin Evans

    Treasurer: Mared Owen

    Publicity Officer: Jasmine Evans

    Minutes Secretary: Gwennan Jones

As club officials, we held a number of virtual evenings, from a virtual new members evening to a couple of quiz and game nights. Throughout the year, we have had some great achievements, despite the challenges:

    • NFYFC Isolation Talent Challenge 2020 winners. As a club we pulled together to create a mime to music depicting life in lockdown. A lot of hard work was put into this and it was worth it as we were awarded National competition winners in early May.
    • One of our most dedicated members, Aled Rees, became County Vice Chairman along with volunteering in the Trefeglwys area collecting prescriptions and shopping for vulnerable people in the community.
    • During the festive period, as a club, we joined with our neighbouring club Aberhafesp YFC to create a Christmas mime to music video. Our Club Secretary, Elin Evans, put a huge amount of effort into coordinating and putting the video together.
    • Trefeglwys YFC members have competed in the various county competitions with many individual successes whilst also joining county events. A few of our new members engaged with Youth Forum virtual evenings for the first time.

There have been highs and lows over the past year. Two past members of Trefeglwys YFC have tied the knot with their partners where YFC members held pikes and made an arch as is tradition. Club Chairman Cathryn Jenkins represented Trefeglwys YFC by laying a wreath at the Remembrance Service. More recently, one of our club life members, John Hughes, sadly passed away which was a huge loss to the club and the community.

Although it has been a challenging, different year, YFC is still growing and we know that all Trefeglwys YFC members are ready to meet again in person. We would like to thank all members for your patience through this testing time and a huge thanks to all helpers and parents, we could not do it without you! Bring on next year!
