Trefeglwys Young Farmers Club has been running since 1945, meetings usually held in Trefeglwys Memorial Hall every fortnight and many big competitions won such as Eisteddfods and public speaking competitions. Not much has changed since then except the membership fee, which was only 24p in 1952!
The club has seen many faces throughout the years, many families and friends joining the club at a young age.
Recently, we have been entering competitions at the Field Day and Eisteddfod with Jas Evans winning second place in lamb trimming, Owain Jones and Wyn Meddins winning third place in the Story and Sound competition, as well as our Mime to Music placing third. Our club has had trips bowling, to see Porth Sunflower Farm, and a ‘friendly’ rounders match against Aberhafesp YFC. We look forward to another year of competitions and meetings to come!
