Rally 2005
A good day and night
was had by all at the 2005 Rally held at Hendreseifion, Machynlleth. For those of you that have been hibernating for the last couple of weeks we were runners up again! A very good result. Successes include winning the Promotional Sign and Hereford Stockjudging, 2nd in the Dancing, 2nd in the Rodeo, 3rd in the Fed Display, 3rd in the Shearing, 3rd in the Forestry and 2nd in the Ladies Tug of War (good effort girls!). Tregynon also won the Agricultural Shield for the highest points in the Agricultural Section, never one by the club before. CONGRATULATIONS to everyone that took part and contributed to the days success.
Stockjudging Success
Congratulations go to Helen Morgan who recently came equal 1st in the Senior Stockman of the Year Competition at the All Wales Field Day. Helen will now represent Wales in the National Senior Stockman of the Year Competition at the Dairy Event, Stonleigh in September.
Helen also took part in the recent Beef Expo 2005 YFC Stockjuding Competition along with Steve Francis, and came 2nd overall, also obtaining the highest points in the Charollais Section.
Members get in on County Affairs
A number of members have been appointed as County officials for the forthcoming year. Jonathan Pryce is the new County Vice Chairman, Gary Wright is the new Members Treasurer, Nicola Walker is the new Chairman of the Activities Committee and Helen Morgan is the Leader of the Rural Affairs Committee.
Club are Stockjudging champions
Tregynon YFC have taken home the winners cup from the County Stockjudging competitions. The event took place at the County Field Day with members competing in all of the competitions on offer during at the competition. Congratulations to you all!
